Haas CNC Vertical Machining Center Programming & Operation
This 16-hour course is an introduction to the Haas CNC Vertical Machining Center. The student will learn to create programs, set up, and operate the Haas VMC. The course wil include three axis programming techniques used to create code for contouring, pocketing, drilling, tapping, reaming and other machining operations using the word address format (G&M code). The course also will introduce the Haas conversational programming feature, Visual Quick Code programming. This course is recommended for machinists, CNC programmers, setup and operators, engineers, shop supervision, and shop owners.
Prerequisite(s): Basic computer and math skills; Windows interface knowledge; experiance with manual and/or CNC machining on milling machines; and blueprint-reading skills.
