Haas CNC SL20 Turning Center Programming & Operation
This 16-hour course is an introduction to the Haas CNC SL20 Turning Center. The student will learn to create programs, set up, and operate the Haas SL20 Turning Center. The course will include two axis programming techniques used to create code for contouring, drilling, tapping, reaming, and other machining operations using the word address format (G&M code). The course also will introduce the Haas conversational programming feature, Visual Quick Code programming. This course is recommended for machinists, CNC programmers, setup, and operators, engineers, shop supervision, and shop owners.
Prerequisite(s): Basic computer and math skills; Windows interface knowledge; experience with manual and/or CNC machining on milling machines; and blueprint-reading skills.
