Intro to Site Management of Modular Construction and the Ecohealth Homes System
This course combines the updated and ever popular MHTI 2-day training course for builders, set crews, suppliers, and manufacturers that has been a modular industry standard since 1998, with a twist of Green by incorporating the standards and philosophy behind the Echohealth Homes system of Michelle Roberts. The MHTI course addresses the four main areas of site management essential to a more profitable and high quality modular project; these include Site and Foundation Preparation, Optimal Scheduling, the Set, and the Finish. Additional focus on the requirements of the current Energy Star and Green home certification processes. In addition, the importance of proper attention to detail on the site for optimum home performance are included int he updated MHTI course curriculum. Ecohealth Homes are based on the 7 Principles of Healthy Housing by the National Center for Healthy Housing. Michelle Roberts will co-present during the course to address the importance of including the concepts of healthy housing into every design and project. Today's homes buyers are more knowledgeable and demanding with regard to incorporating Green features into their new homes. Modular construction is recognized by several national rating systems as inherently Green for the purpose of contributing points. Modular stakeholders will learn how they can integrate Green strategies into their projects to attract more buyers in the difficult new home market.
