Plastics Materials & Processing
This workshop is designed to provide participants with a fundamental knowledge of plastics and how they are processed beginning with the ear ly history of plastic materials to the present day high performance engineering grades. Participants will gain a basic knowledge of plasti cs (polymer) materials and their common manufacturing techniques. Hand s-on sessions show how certain data sheet properties such as melt index , tensile strength and impact resistance are determined and introduce p articipants to such processing techniques as injection molding, extrusi on, rotational molding, vacuum forming and extrusion blow molding.
