Supervisory Skills Class Offered at North Campus
September 2008
Penn College’s North Campus is offering a Supervisory Skills class, in which frontline supervisors can develop leadership and management skills. The class will be held Tuesdays, Oct. 21 to Nov. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon at the campus, three miles east of Wellsboro.
North Campus to Offer Computer Courses for Adults

For those who need to prepare for a career change or just update their computer skills, Penn College’s North Campus near Wellsboro will offer several easy-to-master computer courses this fall. The courses are taught by qualified instructors at a comfortable pace for all levels of adult learners. The small, noncredit classes are held from 6 to 9 p.m. in a relaxed classroom environment allowing students to learn, experiment and ask questions throughout the evening.
Penn College's North Campus Offers Medical-Billing Classes

Penn College's North Campus near Wellsboro is offering classes for a certificate in medical billing and coding specialist. The college has received approval for the program from the National Healthcareer Association, which certifies the competency of newly trained professionals in allied health care. Current students in the program will take the NHA certification exam in December for the designation of certified billing and coding specialist (CBCS).
Medical Assistant Class to Begin in August at North Campus

The next Medical Assistant class at Penn College’s North Campus, located three miles east of Wellsboro, is scheduled to begin in August. The Medical Assistant program consists of classroom and laboratory instruction to prepare participants to perform general administrative, receptionist and basic clinical procedures in doctor’s offices, clinics, medical facilities and human-service agencies. Medical assistants primarily work in outpatient settings, keeping offices and clinics running smoothly.
North Campus Commemorates 25 Years of Service to Northern Tier

Marking a quarter-century of providing workforce and industry training and education to businesses and individuals in the Northern Tier, the North Campus of Penn College held a 25th anniversary celebration Tuesday for current and former staff and students and members of the local community.
