The School of Health Sciences and Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College will sponsor a health literacy workshop on Oct. 3. The workshop, titled “What It Is, Why It Matters, How You Can Help,” will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. in Penn’s Inn on the second floor of the Bush Campus Center. The $55 cost includes lunch at the college’s Le Jeune Chef Restaurant.

Members of the information technology staff at the IMC – one of Pennsylvania's seven Industrial Resource Centers – recently traveled to conferences in Florida and Texas. Steve Shaible, Zane Patalive and Kenny Steinbacher attended the TechEd conference at Orlando's Orange County Convention Center in June, and Shaible and Patalive took part in July's Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Houston. WDCE has partnered with ed2go.com to offer hundreds of noncredit, online, instructor-facilitated employee-training courses.
